Diacerein, also known as diacetyl dihydroanthracene carboxylic acid, 1,8-diacetyl-3-carboxyanthraquinone, dacerein, ampbitine, is a new interleukin (IL)-1 inhibitor , The chemical name is diacetyl rhein, which is an anthraquinone compound.
