Beta-ecdysterone is a naturally occurring steroid belonging to the class of phytosterones, commonly found in herbs (dew grass), insects (silkworms) and some aquatic animals (shrimp, crabs, etc.). The study found that dew grass is one of the medicinal plants with more ecdysterone in nature so far.
